AminAmend’s primary ingredient, HMB, has been clinically tested for more than 20 years. During this time, it has been taken safely by humans without adverse effects. HMB is naturally occurring within the bodies of humans and animal companions and improves the body’s ability to use proteins consumed as part of a healthy diet. Safety studies in animals indicate that HMB can be ranked in the lowest toxicity for Substances and Mixtures.

AminAmend™ compliments a healthy diet. There are no known drug interactions or concerns about the oral administration of AminAmend™ while your pet is taking medications but be sure to discuss your plans with your veterinarian.

AminAmend™ is easy to use. The capsule can simply be broken open and used as a powder. For dogs, you can simply wrap a capsule in their favorite treat. For finicky cats, or those whose appetite is diminished, take a small syringe (about 3ml) and fill it with 1.5 ml of water. Dispense the water into a small cup, mix with the contents of the AminAmend™ capsule, then draw the solution back into the syringe, and then squirt the contents of the syringe into the cat’s mouth. Be sure to slowly squirt into the side of the mouth and never at the back of the throat. Always syringe slowly to avoid spilling or choking. Talk with your veterinarian for the safest options for your pet.
